Fraction / Simple is a project built on an action repeated over time. In March 2025, my parents measure me again in the doorway of the closet that used to be my bedroom. Once again, they draw a small mark above my head to indicate my height. It took 24 years for this action to be repeated. The last record of my height is from 2001, the year they separated. The three of us had not been together in that room since.
During that time, the mark recorded a growth of 29 cm, and days later, the room would change its function; my mother, with my father's help, would place new furniture in it, turning it into a guest room.
